Silas Lowe is an Austin, Texas–based Americana and roots singer-songwriter whose work bridges traditional American forms with a contemporary lyrical voice. Grounded in folk, bluegrass, blues, and honky-tonk, his songs reflect a deep engagement with heritage, craft, and lived experience. Active in the Austin music community since the mid-2000s, Lowe has developed a distinctive voice informed by Appalachian and Texas roots music, earning recognition for his evocative storytelling and authentic performances.
Lowe's 2016 album Wandering Father, Forgotten Son paired his own songs with those of his late father, honoring a shared musical legacy. He followed in 2025 with Mirror Behind the Bar, a record that deepens his songwriting while remaining firmly rooted in classic American forms. Exploring reflection, hard-earned wisdom, and the quiet truths of everyday places, the album balances grit and grace through finely honed narratives and traditional instrumentation.
