About the event
Haute Trash presents "Waste of the Nation" at Wild Eye Pub!
This year marks 25 years since Haute Trash performed at the inaugural local Nevada County Earth Day event in 1990 at Bridgeport. In addition to the glorious trash fashions they unveiled on that memorable, misty spring day on the shores of the South Yuba, the enthusiastic audience was treated to music, environmental booths, and words of wisdom from beloved local luminaries Utah Philips and Gary Snyder.
A nonprofit since 2006, over the years Haute Trash has participated in many of the area's Earth Day events in local parks, and later, at several Earth Day events right here at Wild Eye Pub. The Pub is delighted to welcome back these crusaders of recycling, as they model the good gospel: don't throw it out, wear it out!
