The Heifer Belles: Original Back Porch Americana

The Heifer Belles began as friends getting together for some casual picking and singing. The resulting blend of back porch Americana, took them out of the living room into the world to perform their music. Juliet Gobert’s song writing ranges from tongue-in-cheek to heartfelt to socially insightful—a gamut of human experiences in today’s world. Juliet leads on vocals and guitar, with a powerful and expressive voice. She has performed over the years at some of Northern California's finest music festivals including, Strawberry Music Festival, Kate Wolf Music Festival, High Sierra Music Festival, Kentucky Mine Music Festival and American River Music Festival. Juliet has opened for Maria Muldaur, Paul Barrere and Fred Tackett of Little Feat, Kenny Edwards of The Stone Ponies, Nina Gerber, Wayne Hancock and Dave and Phil Alvin of the Alvin Brothers . Kim Rogers, on pedal steel and harmony vocals, is also a long-time DJ at KVMR community radio. Karel Hendee, on standup bass, banjo and harmony vocals is also an accomplished textile artist. Their love of 3-part harmony brings extra richness to the songs. The Heifer Belles and their musical hijinks guarantee a knee-slapping, tear-jerking time.
