I am ridiculously pumped to have dear friends and brilliant musicians @yotuck and @christinewilhoyte on board for this project. We’re brewing up some sounds that celebrate the fuzzy borderlands of bluegrass, old-time, and country.
Jesse Appelman's West Coast Stringband Project unites three standout musicians from the California bluegrass scene, crafting a sound defined by strong melodies, rich vocal harmonies, and rock-solid groove. Their music blurs the lines between bluegrass, old-time, and country, with a focus on collective, joyful music-making. Their repertoire features original compositions alongside traditionals and gems from the Stanley Brothers, Norman Blake, Hazel & Alice, John Hartford, Larry Sparks, and more.
